Margazhi
It is a blend of Art and divinity. The ritual of Kolam is an extremely important feature of the culture of South India, and especially so in Tamil Nadu. During the holy month of Marghazhi, almost all houses are decorated with colorful and elaborate Kolam. These are drawn on the threshold to welcome in guests and divine beings to bless their houses with prosperity and happiness.
